Woman In Science – 50 Fearless Pioneers Who Changed The World – Written & Illustrated By: Rachel Ignotofsky
This is a brilliant book accessible to children & adults alike. I personally use it as “daily learning about a woman-in-science” kind of thing.
I found it on the scintillating and charming site, I regularly visit (I recommend signing up for their sunday newsletter), brainpickings.org:
Here’s an accurate review of the educational and emotional benefits this book offers towards children and the ingenious depictions created by Ignotofsky.

What is Rejected Princesses & What do they stand for?
I’m a personal fan of Rejected Princesses for I relate more with the awe-inspiring, adventure-seeking and knowledge-hungry women depicted vs. any of the Disney Princesses who are in emotionally abusive relationships and play patriarchal submissive roles (not my style or vibe). Not to mention these “rejected princesses” were (for the most part) REAL women, who changed history and happened to be gloriously sharp while doing so.
Sn of life: Julie d’Aubigny (Also known as La Maupin) is a personal favorite:
