A Perfect Day for Bananafish by J.D.Salinger

In a quest for delusional innocence, vulgarity and harassment leads to silencing the madness. I am drawn to this piece when I’m diving and splashing amongst the waves or snorkeling, the sea is a mass of vast mystery that you can feel so serene in. Serene enough to gain silence from the multitasked daily existence one’s hairball of thoughts (one may call a brain) endures. It puts things into perspective that leaves me with a sense of the poignancy of experiencing the moment and embodying gratefulness for the internal and external prosperity one possesses.
